We are a small building contractor based on the outskirts of Wolverhampton to the North and currently operate within the Wolverhampton, Staffordshire & Telford areas. We have over 40 years experience within the building trade. In recent years the business has been focused to the residential sector including one off dwellings and extensions to dwellings. The residential focus began shortly before the company designed and constructed two dwellings within the grounds of the historic Vicarage of St. Paul’s Church, Coven.
Previous to the company’s shift into the residential sector, the business was primarily a bricklaying contractor starting in 1973. The main brick laying contracts that the company completed were:
Fradley Business Park, Lichfield
St. John’s Retail Park, Wolverhampton
Morrisons Superstore, Walsall
In 1996 the company acquired a plot of land in the village of Coven with planning consent for the erection of 2No. 4 bedroom detached dwellings. The plot lay to the rear of the historic Old Vicarage and adjacent the 19th century churchyard.
The two dwellings were almost exact mirrored replicas with the exception of one having a detached garage and the other, a single, integral garage and other associated differences.
The initial works consisted of ground works for the two dwellings including the commencement of the construction of the boundary garden wall between the site and the existing Old Vicarage.
The project was fully completed in the summer of 1997, with the first dwelling being completed in the previous December.
In 2007 one of the properties was extended. The property that was extended was the dwelling with the detached garage. The walkway between the dwelling and the garage was in-filled and the garage was extended in height and housed a new master bedroom suite over.
